Portrait Sessions: Documenting Your Legacy

Most portrait sessions feel like a production - a series of "stand here and look at me" moments that result in images that look like grade school photos.

With over 20 years of experience as a professional photographer and a background in journalism, I’ve learned that the best images aren't found in a choreographed pose. They’re found in the unscripted moments that happen when you forget the camera is there. When you laugh for real. When you give each other a look that cant be faked - that doesnt come with looking at the camera and saying cheese. 

Every session includes professional documentary-style coverage and my commitment to delivering something truly one-of-a-kind.

This is an efficient session for those who have a specific location in mind and want to get straight to the heart of the matter. We spend about 45 minutes working together, focusing on a single meaningful spot. 

It’s the perfect choice for a graduate or a couple who wants a professional eye without the need for a full-day adventure.

This is the core of what I do. It’s a 90-minute to two-hour window that gives us the breathing room to let the energy settle and the real moments emerge. This tier allows for more movement - perhaps exploring a couple of nearby locations or a wardrobe change.

This is perfect for engagement sessions. 

This tier is for those who want to lean into the full drama and scale of the Newfoundland landscape. There is no strict time limit here because we are working with the shifting light and the environment, not the clock. We might hike to a remote cliffside or wait for that perfect transition from sunset to dusk.  Drones over the ocean may happen.

This is for the people who want something epic that feels like a film still.

I am based out of Clarenville, which puts me in the perfect position to reach the cliffs of the Bonavista Peninsula, the colours of swift current, the majesty of Terra Nova alongside the nooks and crannies of the Clarenville Coasts.

For sessions within an hour’s drive of Clarenville, travel is completely included in your session fee. 

For areas further afield, I simply ask for a flat-rate travel fee to cover the extra time and fuel.
