Hi!, I’m Shawn Taylor - a former newspaper photographer and Journalism grad with more than 20 years of experience and 800+ weddings behind the lens.
I’ve photographed weddings across Canada, but these days, I call Clarenville, Newfoundland home.
I don’t just take photos - I tell stories. Stories built on light, timing, trust, and an understanding of people.
My approach is calm, professional, and easygoing. Years in journalism taught me how to read a room, stay composed under pressure, and capture moments that matter - without turning them into a production.
Whether it’s a wedding, a portrait session, photo tour or a branding shoot, I aim for images that feel honest and timeless, not trendy or over-edited.
Your wedding is a story waiting to be told. I specialize in capturing authentic emotion and epic coastal portraits.

Curated and Hand Crafted Experiences - Epic Images set against the backdrop of real Newfoundland.
No corporate chains. No crowds. No guesswork. Supporting the best of local small businesses.

Newfoundland food is delicious. It’s fire-side bowls, homemade bread, local berries, and comfort you can actually taste.
When you spend a day exploring, you want something real at the end of it.
(Or in the middle of it.)
I can point you to the local spots where the ingredients come from down the road, the fish was caught that morning, and the people cooking it still care about what lands on your plate.
Whether you want a pub, a café, a quiet harbour restaurant,
or a “blink and you miss it” local spot,
I’ll point you in the right direction.
Make some local food part of your experience!

Ready to experience the creations of
the region’s most interesting creative minds?
Some people want coastlines. Some want cupcakes. Some want trails.
Some want quiet forest paths or high lookouts with the wind in their face. Newfoundland has all of it - and most of it is ten minutes
off the highway if you know where to look.
Planning to go to Bonavista To See The Puffins?
